Forest fire put out in east China

A forest fire has been put out in the city of Jingdezhen, east China’s Jiangxi Province, at around 1:35 p.m. Tuesday and no casualties were reported, local authorities said Tuesday.

More than 300 people and four helicopters have been dispatched to quench the blaze after the fire broke out on Monday afternoon, according to the provincial emergency management department.

The fire broke out in Yinkeng Village and spread to a forest farm at around 2 a.m. on Tuesday. Data showed that the fire had spread over an area of around 20 hectares.

The cause of the fire is being investigated.
