Following the talks between US President Donald Trump and Russian President Vladimir Putin, there has been widespread bustle in the Western neo-liberal class. In particular, the remarks made by US Vice President J.D. Vance at the Munich Security Conference have further terrible this bustle. Vance criticized the war-loving policies of the Western deep state, saying that the biggest challenge for Europe was not Russia or China but Europe’s own internal problems.
The Ukraine War and U.S.-EU Relations
As neoliberal forces are being staggered following the change in American leadership, the so-called ‘deep state’ is inciting the European Union to continue the war in Ukraine. Following indications that Trump wants to resolve the Ukraine crisis by talking to Putin, the EU is creating pressure to ensure Europe’s involvement in US-Russia talks by forwarding the “Weimar Group”. However, it has become clear that the solution to the Ukraine war is not in the hands of the Europeans and their position is also weak.
The European Union is now a henchman of the US. Over the past three years, European countries have been deeply entangled in the quagmire of the Ukraine war. If the US withdraws from this war, the EU will not be able to continue the war. This is increasing the possibility of a deep rift in US-EU relations.
The Failed Strategy of the ‘Deep State’
The Deep State is plotting to prevent talks from taking place by demanding that Russia return to its borders from before 2014. However, global geopolitics is now moving towards the end of neoliberalism. The increasing pressure from the U.S., Russia, China, and other major powers makes it difficult for the EU to maintain stability. In such a situation, the division of the EU now seems compulsory.
The Deep State’s Influence in Nepal
The influence of neo-liberal forces in Nepal also seems to be gradually declining. Elements funded by USAID and the infamous George Soros are currently facing a difficult situation in Nepal. Their role has declined widely with the change in American power. This indicates that the era of neo-liberalism is ending and the world is moving towards a balance of new power.
Conclusion
Talks between Donald Trump and Vladimir Putin have indicated that a resolution to the Ukraine war is underway. Meanwhile, US Vice President J.D. Vance has signaled that will weaken neo-liberal forces, citing problems within Europe as a major challenge. With the growing awareness against neoliberalism across the world, including in Nepal, the geopolitical landscape can be expected to become more interesting in the coming days.
