Kathmandu, Sept 15:
The real estate entrepreneurs have requested Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli for his initiative on scientific urbanization.
A team led by Nepal Land and Housing Developer’s Federation, Bhesha Raj Lohani, requested PM Oli to not enforce the criteria of leaving 20 meters space on either side of the river in the Kathmandu Valley, introduce a land development programme in collaboration with private sectors, bring a bill on city/urbanization, and digitalize the real estate business.
Receiving a memorandum from the Federation at his office in Singha Durbar, PM Oli, urged the real estate entrepreneurs to prioritize investment in productive sector. He sought their role on making the national economy dynamic.
The PM further said the apartments in cities left empty for long do not give immediate result despite hefty investment.
However, PM Oli assured the team that the laws related to real estate business and people’s development would be amended as per time.
