Minister Dahal inspects Nagadhunga-Sisnekhola tunnel way

Malekhu (Dhading), Aug 30:

Physical Infrastructure and Transport Minister Devendra Dahal has inspected the Nagadhunga-Sisnekhola tunnel way today.
Minister Dahal, who went on an onsite visit from Nagdhunga in Kathmandu to Naubise in Dhading, Muglin in Chitwan and to Pokhara via Galchhibazar, listened to complaints and took stock of the work to be done, inspected the tunnel route in the first phase.
On the occasion, Minister Dahal interacted with different political party leaders, social figures and stakeholders
The length of the emergency tunnel is 2.557 km and the length of the main tunnel is 2.688 km under the tunnel way connecting Balambu of Chandragiri Municipality to Sisnekhola of Dhading. According to the project, more than three quarters of the work has been completed so far. Ramesh Koirala, Engineer and Spokesperson of the Tunnel Project, informed that the main tunnel and the emergency tunnel of the project have been breached and the lining work is going on in the tunnel.
“The road slope inside the tunnel, lights and oxygen pipe installation work has started. Under the project, three underpasses, four culverts, three bridges, one overpass, flyover and other structures are being constructed,” he said.
Spokesperson Koirala informed that the work of the tunnel is being done to allow vehicles to run by the end of 2082 BS.
Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli laid the foundation stone of the project on Kartik 4, 2076 BS.
