Bhaktapur, Aug 10:
General Secretary of the Nepali Congress, Gagan Thapa, has said it was essential to create an atmosphere conducive to establish the optimistic narrative.
“Youths need to be lured to the idea that they can work and earn within the country. Here, State’s role is paramount that youths deserve proper address to their demands that help engage them in the country,” he added.
The General Secretary further viewed the negative narrative of ‘nothing happened/happens’ must be wiped out by dispelling public disenchantment. The development is going on, so it is not wise to argue the country is a laggard.
General Secretary Thapa was making such observation during a programme organized at Balkot, Bhaktapur on the 17th memorial day of NC leader and educationist, Shyam Bahadur Karki, today.
He shared the information that NC had planned to keep record of all the democratic fighters and establish a revolving fund of Rs 100 million. The money generated from the fund would be utilized for the education and health of the children of those democratic fighters, according to him.
The programme was also addressed by district president of the party, Durlav Thapa, Minister for Internal Affairs and Law at Bagmati Province, Suraj Chandra Lamichhane, leader Ram Prasad Dawadi and Pradeep Karki.
