Kathmandu, June 9:
President Ramchandra Paudel has assigned the responsibility of the Acting Prime Minister to Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Physical Infrastructure and Transport, Raghubir Mahaseth.
Mahaseth has been assigned this responsibility to carry out the daily administrative works of the Prime Minister during the absence of Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ who left here today for New Delhi, the capital of India, to attend the swearing-in ceremony of the newly-elected Prime Minister of India, Narendra Modi, this evening.
The President has, on the recommendation of the Prime Minister and in accordance with the Constitution of Nepal, assigned the Deputy Prime Minister Mahaseth to look after the responsibility of the daily administrative works carried out by the Prime Minister, the Office of the President said in a press note.
Prime Minister Dahal left for New Delhi today to attend the oath-taking ceremony of Acting Prime Minister of India, Narendra Modi. Bharatiya Janata Party’s leader Modi is scheduled to take oath as the Prime Minister for the third stint today evening in the Indian capital city-New Delhi.
