Chairperson of Muslim Commission, Samim Miya Ansari called on Bangladeshi’s Prime Minister’s Sheikh Hasina.
Chairperson Ansari who reached capital Dhaka in course of observing the general election held in Bangladesh had a meeting with Prime Minister Hasina on Monday.
At a meeting at the Prime Minister’s office, matters related to bilateral and mutual benefits were discussed, the Muslim Commission stated.
Recalling 50 years of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries, Chairperson Ansari during the meeting highlighted the potentials of trade and economic partnership between Nepal and Bangladesh.
He also mentioned the potential collaboration in education sector with the rise in exchange of students between the two countries.
On the occasion, PM Hasina said the Nepal-Bangladesh ties have been based on the principles of relations between good neighbours and reciprocal benefits, the Commission noted.
Commission Chairperson Ansari and member Mahamadin Ali reached Dhaka for observing general election of Bangladesh.
