PM roots for ‘revolutionary change’ in production for transformation 

Kathmandu, Aug 27 :

Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ has said change would not be possible in the country until and unless there is a revolution in the agricultural production.

PM Dahal said this while inaugurating the Central Workshop Seminar organized by the Hariyali Prakritik Krishi Abhiyan (Green Natural Agricultural Campaign) at the party’s central office at Perisdanda today.

On the occasion, he stressed on the need of bringing a ‘visible change’ in agricultural production.

The Workshop organisers have said representatives from 34 districts are attending the seminar.

“The green campaign has a meaningful and long-term significance. Change is not possible in the country unless a revolutionary change is brought in production. The latest central committee meeting of the Maoist Centre has initiated this campaign as a movement for bringing a revolution in the agriculture sector,” the PM and Maoist Centre Chair reiterated.

The PM also thanked all those involved in making the Campaign a success.

He also recalled on the occasion that discussions on collaboration had been held during his official visit to India. As he said, the government is working to promoting an exchange of experience with India by sending the farmers from Nepal for study tours of and discussions on green agriculture promoted by India.

Party general-secretary Dev Prasad Gurung said the party will take special initiatives for expanding the campaign nation-wide.

Maoist Centre leaders Dilaram Acharya, Dinanath Sharma, Jhakku Prasad Subedi, among others shed light on the importance and necessity of the campaign.

 

Some people uneasy about government’s recent actions: PM Dahal

Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ has said a section of people has been shattered by the latest government actions.

“Some people are discomforted by good initiatives of the government and are busy in spreading rumours against it and the ruling alliance,” the Prime Minister said while addressing the third plenary of Nepal Intellectuals Association aligned to the CPN (Maoist Centre) here today.

He urged the intellectual community to contribute for clearing off such propaganda.

Meanwhile at another programme here today, CPN (Maoist Centre) Chair Dahal welcomed the Revolutionary Communist Party Nepal’s central member and Dang district coordinator, Birendra BK, to the party.

BK decided to quit the party and join the CPN (Maoist Centre) in presence of party senior leaders including Dahal, Agni Sapkota, Pampha Bhusal and Rekha Sharma, among others.
