Gangtok, 23 June :
Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB) Gangtok, organized a rally today on the occasion of “Nasha Mukt Bharat Pakhwada” with the theme “ Drugs Free India”. The Rally was started from SHQ SSB, 8th mile Marchak, (Sikkim) upto 9th mile. During the rally banners, posters and slogans befitting the occasion were displayed. The officers and officials of SHQ SSB, Gangtok participated in the rally with great enthusiasm and motivating people with the slogans.
The rally was taken out to aware people against drugs abuse and to urge them to stand against rapidly growing influence of drug abuse in society which also impact negatively on the economy. It was also to urge the youths and also to remain alert on the illegal activities of drug traffickers/syndicates/peddlers and remain vigilant and co-operate with law enforcing agencies/stake holders of the society to check the menace of drug abuse.
