Speaker of the House of Representatives, Dev Raj Ghimire, has expected that the government would table the federal education bill in the parliament soon.
Inaugurating the ‘Eighth Kantipur HISSAN Edufair’ began from Bhrikutimandap from today, Speaker Ghimire expressed hope that the bill would be tabled in the current session.
He pointed out the need of coordination from government and private sectors to make Nepal as the international educational hub.
Member of House of Representatives, Ranju Jha, senior artist Madan Krishna Shrestha, among others were present on the occasion.
The Edufair jointly organised by Higher Institutions and Secondary Schools’ Association Nepal (HISSAN) and Kantipur Publication Limited would run till June 18.
The main motto of the four-day fair is ‘Better Education in Nepal’. There would be stalls of 75 educational institutions in the fair, said HISSAN Chairperson Ramesh Silwal.
Fair coordinator Tanka Raj Acharya shared information and consultation would be given about quality and excellent education in the country.
There are stalls of secondary-level educational institutions, Kathmandu University, Pokhara University, Purbanchal University, Mid-West University, and Council for Technical Education and Vocational Training (CTEVT) in the fair.
