PM announces new fight against corruption

Kathmandu, May 9 :

Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ has announced a new fight against corruption in the country.

“Ill-practices, wrongdoings and corruption have taken a dreadful form in the country. Nepalis will not realise happiness and prosperity until corruption was uprooted,” PM Prachanda mentioned.

On the occasion, PM Prachanda argued that end of injustice and beginning of socialism was unlikely without development and prosperity. “For this to happen, I need your support in the same manner that you extended in the past. I want to appeal to you for your support,” he added.

The PM reiterated that his focus is on ensuring social justice, equality and rights adding that a record could be maintained in coming five years with the firm commitment and support of all people.

Stating that the country has embarked on a new era of power export from the time of longstanding power outage, the PM revealed that agreements will be signed for power production and export with Indian side in his upcoming India visit.

Likewise, PM Prachanda said that his focus is on Sudurpaschim and Karnali provinces for development endeavours.
