Kathmandu, May 6 :
Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ has said that any sorts of undue pressure, threat and encirclement in his campaign will be countered to maintain good-governance.
Addressing the sixth national conference of Nepal Dalit Liberation Front here today, the PM and CPN (Maoist Centre) Chairman Dahal added that the government will leave no stone unturned to curb corruption to maintain good-governance.
“Current economic crisis is the result of the longstanding wrong policies, cultures, ill-practices, wrong working styles, and mainly the corruption,” PM Prachanda added.
Stating that maintaining good-governance was a serious battle, the PM said that preliminary efforts have been initiated but admitted that it was a challenging job. “Good-governance is related to controlling corruption,” according to the PM.
The PM shared that his government has accorded top priority for three things–social justice, good-governance and prosperity–since the initial days in his office.
Reiterating that dissolution of the House of Representatives (HoR) is regression, the PM said that the regression was defeated with the force of people.
Likewise, the PM said that the Dalit community by remaining at the forefront of political transformation has played key role in making the revolutions success.
Similarly, PM Prachanda argued that conspiracies are rife to subvert the constitutional rights of the Dalit community but added that the rights were established by the Dalit community after the struggles.
During the programme, CPN (Maoist Centre) leaders Maheshwor Jung Gahatraj, Gopi Bahadur Achhami Sarki and others expressed their views for the government’s effective interventions for the cause of Dalit and minority communities.
