Sichuan further promotes practical cooperation with Nepal

China’s Sichuan Provincial Government is going to further promote exchanges and practical cooperation with Nepal. The deputy head of the provincial foreign affairs office, Liu Ming said this in a meeting with the Nepali delegation led by Foreign Secretary Bharat Raj Paudyal, who reached the provincial capital Chengdu.

According to the information updated in Chinese on the WeChat account of the Foreign Affairs Office, deputy head Liu stated that the friendly exchange between China and Nepal has been for thousands of years and the traditional friendship and friendly cooperation between the two countries has flourished and clarified that the exchange and cooperation between Sichuan and Nepal played an important role in the friendly exchange between China and Nepal.

She said high-level visits, economic and business investment, education and training, cultural tourism, agricultural technology, medical and health services, disaster prevention and mitigation, and exchange between sister cities have been fruitful.

She also promised that his office will further promote exchanges and practical cooperation between Sichuan and Nepal in various fields.

Secretary Paudyal thanked the Foreign Affairs Office for the warm welcome and praised the achievements of exchange and cooperation between the two places. He expressed his belief that the cooperation between the two sides will increase in the future.

Secretary Paudyal also said that he will actively support the friendly exchange between Nepal and Sichuan and help to deepen the friendship between China and Nepal.

Dinesh Kumar Ghimire, Consul General of Nepal at Chengdu, and officials of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Provincial Foreign Affairs Office of both countries participated in the meeting.

After participating in the meeting of the 15th phase of the diplomatic consultation mechanism between Nepal and China held in the capital Beijing, the delegation including Secretary Poudyal reached Sichuan province.

While in Sichuan, the Nepalese delegation visited the Chengdu Research Base of Giant Panda Breeding and also inspected the Nepali Consulate General in Chengdu, Nepal Society wrote.
