Presidential election: Four major parties agree to sit for second sitting 

Kathmandu, Feb 24 :

A meeting of major political parties held to discuss about the nomination for the presidential election failed to reach to a conclusion, though it dwelt on multiple alternatives. The parties agreed to meet again this evening for further discussion on the issue.

Talking to media following the meeting, Nepali Congress (NC) general secretary Gagan Kumar Thapa said a second round of sitting scheduled for 5:00 pm today is expected to reach to a conclusion.

“Today’s discussions were held on a positive note; we will find a conclusion through the next sitting,” he added.

Prime Minister and CPN (Maoist Centre) Chair Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’, Nepali Congress President Sher Bahadur Deuba, CPN (Unified Socialist) Chair Madhav Kumar Nepal and Janata Samajbadi Party Chair Upendra Yadav were among those attending the meeting.
