Promises fulfilled

Promises fulfilled

It is almost impossible to encapsulate the rapid rise of China’s overall national strength and global standing over the past decade. Accompanying such a remarkable ascent is the historic improvements to the lives of 1.4 billion Chinese people. In this regard, “promises made, promises fulfilled” is one apt term to describe how the CPC, under the leadership of Xi Jinping, led the Chinese people to a better life in all aspects.

In 2012, Xi listed in detail what Chinese people wished for in life, including better education, higher income, greater social security and a better environment. Over the past decade, the achievements in fulfilling these wishes are nothing short of extraordinary. As part of our extensive coverage of the 20th CPC National Congress, the Global Times is publishing five issues to highlight how Chinese life has changed so astonishingly for the better since the 18th CPC National Congress – and how the CPC led by Xi has fulfilled its original mission of seeking happiness for the Chinese people.
