CPN (Maoist Centre) Chairperson Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ asserted that he was struggling to ensure development and prosperity in the country and was working towards protecting the system.
Chairperson Dahal said so at his constituency at Madi in Chitwan today where he was engaged in a host of events such as inaugural of project, laying foundation stone, monitoring projects and meeting party cadres and leaders.
Stating that his party was struggling for political stability, Dahal, also former Prime Minister, opined that they could not deliver on par with the expectations in his constituency due to unity and dissolution among the communist parties. Nevertheless, he viewed that development works were being accelerated lately.
According to him, in the recent years, development could not pick a pace due to COVID-19 pandemic and obstruction of the erstwhile government. He argued that the National Park Act was an obstacle for the development of Madi and process to make it relevant to present times had been taken forward.
The CPN (Maoist Centre) Chair assured that Chitwan would be made a model for development in the country. Land measurement for the landless squatters at Bandarjhula and Madi areas would take place within three days, he assured. Land ownership certificate would be distributed after the measurement process is over.
According to him, a big revolution had taken place in education, health, agriculture and electrification sector in Madi. “Without the development of Madi, the dream of Prosperous Chitwan’ will not be realized.”
On the occasion, Dahal inaugurated Ratani bridge linking ward no 5 and 6 of Madi Municipality, 12-km Baruwa Bazar-Bhairavpur-Parsachowk-Baidar Simreni-Gangate Road and embankment in Tamta River.
Similarly, Minister for Forests and Environment Pradeep Yadav shared that they were effortful to address the issues of the Madi’s people. “The Chitwan National Park is our ornament. There is no alternative to moving ahead addressing the public’s problems while conserving the Park.”
He also assured the locals that the problems related to Bharatpur-Madi-Thori Postal Highway would be addressed.
Likewise, Minister for Physical Planning and Transport Mohammad Ishtiyaq Rai said that budget for development of Madi area was accorded higher priority.
Madi Municipality Mayor Tara Kumari Kaji Mahato said that development works had been accelerated in Madi in the last 5 years.
