Kathmandu, Aug 20:
President Bidya Devi Bhandari today took stock of health condition of Nepali Congress leader Pradeep Giri, who is undergoing treatment at Mediciti Hospital in Lalitpur. The President reached the hospital at 11:00 am today.
Dr Upendra Mahato, Chairperson of the hospital board of directors, briefed President Bhandari about Giri’s health condition, according to the President’s Secretariat.
She also wished leader Giri a speedy recovery. President Bhandari spent approximately one hour at the hospital.
Prior to this, Chairperson of the CPN (Maoist Center) Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ today morning also took stock of health of Giri.
Leader Giri, also member of the House of Representatives, had recently returned home few months ago after getting successful treatment for his throat cancer at various hospitals in neighbouring India.
He was admitted to Mediciti Hospital on July 25 after suffering from pneumonia. A team led by Dr Pankaj Barman is attending to ailing Giri.
