Canadian Minister of International Development Harjit Sajjan, stands on the balcony of the Canadian ambassador residence, as he was looking to the seaport Silos which damaged during the Beirut’s massive explosion in August 2020, in Beirut, Lebanon, Wednesday, Aug. 17, 2022. Sajjan said Syria is not safe yet for millions of refugees to start returning home and those who fled their homes did so only because they had to.
