Kathmandu, 2 August/ It has been found that even one- third of the commitment in Nepal’s industrial sector has not received foreign investment. A study by Nepal Rastra Bank has shown that only 34 percent foreign investment has come compared to the commitment. The conclusion of the study is that foreign investment is stuck due to complicated procedures and legal hurdles.
Even if foreign investors come with the idea of investing, they are disappointed because they face several complications when registering with the Company Registrar Office, Department of Industry, and Nepal Investment Board. As of 2078/89, 3 trillion 64 billion 460 million foreign investment commitments had come but only one trillion 82 billion 910 million 96 hundred thousand rupees of foreign investment has been received, according to the report.
