A pregnant woman who could not give birth even three days after labour began has been airlifted to the Surkhet Provincial Hospital for further treatment, said the district administration office.
Krishna BK, 20, of Turmakhand Rural Municipality-2 in Achham district was taken to the hospital on a helicopter of the Nepal Army following her difficulties to give birth despite the start of her labour, said auxiliary health worker at Bhulu health center, Rajendra Bista.
The rescue took place under the President Air Rescue Programme. The pregnant woman is reported to have given birth by cesarean, he added.
