President Bidya Devi Bhandari has said that health education should be made accessible to everyone.
On the occasion, of the Golden Festival of the Institute of Medical Sciences, in a program held in Kathmandu on Sunday, President Bhandari said that since the number of people going from villages to cities for health and education is increasing, health education should be made accessible to everyone.
She said that the constitution ensures that everyone has the right to quality health care, and she opined that special attention should be paid to the production of health workers.
President Bhandari mentioned that health services should get maximum benefits from science and technology.
Tribhuvan University Vice-Chancellor Dharmakant Baskota informed that 2,300 people are receiving treatment in external service and 700 in internal service daily under the institute.
