Kamal Thapa, the chairman of the Rastriya Prajatantra Party of Nepal, has asked the government to control the planned and organized conversion.
At a program held by the National Federation of Sanatan Dharma Sanskriti on Sunday in Kathmandu, Thapa asked that conversions be under control since they are prohibited by the constitution in order to preserve the Sanatan Dharma tradition.
He said that the government should carry out its duty and put an end to organized and purposeful conversions. He claimed that because Nepal is a nation with religious freedom, RPP has no issues with voluntary conversion.
According to Chairman Thapa, Nepal’s secular government does not support democratic principles because much of the population practices Hinduism.
