The case against Minister Ale will be heard by the Supreme Court

Kathmandu, June 23

The Supreme Court will hear the case involving Minister of Culture, Tourism, and Civil Aviation Prem Bahadur Ale magar. On June 19, a writ petition was submitted to the Supreme Court, claiming a breach of public decency and behavior.

Narayan Prasad Panthi, the registrar, stated that the House of Representatives should be in
charge of this matter. The petitioners had reached the bench against the same. As a result, the registrar’s argument was rejected on Wednesday by a single bench of Supreme Court Judge Tanka Moktan.

The Supreme Administration received a writ petition from attorneys Kishor Poudel, Anupam
Bhattarai, and law student Regina Poudyal charging that the legislator had broken Rule 216 of the Rules of the House of Representatives, 2075 BS’ ”Code of Conduct.” According to Article 920 of Article 133 of the Constitution, the writ petition requests that Minister Ale be fired with the order of ”Paramadesh.”
