Kathmandu, June 21
Dilendra Prasad Badu, Minister of Industry, Commerce, and Supplies, stated that the
government is compelled to hike the price of petroleum products.
Minister Badu said at a meeting of the committee under the House of Representatives (HoR) that the government is compelled to increase the price of petroleum products since the price has gone up in international markets.
Minister Badu said, “The government is not in a position to buy petroleum products at a high cost and sell it to the public at a lower cost.”
