Kathmandu, June 8
According to the Ministry of Agriculture and Livestock Development, the present manure
scarcity will be resolved by the end of June.
The ministry stated in a statement that it was trying to deliver manure through a variety of
methods. According to the government, attempts are being made to purchase manure through the Agricultural Ingredients Company, Salt Trading, and GTG programs.
Salt Trading acquired 20,000 metric tons of DAP and 22,000 metric tons of urea from the
source. According to the ministry, 30,000 metric tons of urea and 20,000 metric tons of DAP would arrive in Nepal in the last week of June.
According to a statement published by Ministry spokesperson Prakash Kumar Sanjel, 50,000 metric tonnes of urea and 30,000 metric tonnes of DAP would come under the GTG with India in the last week of June.
Due to increased international pricing, the contractor in charge of manure delivery failed to
deliver 222,000 metric tons of manure on time, according to the ministry.
