Kathmandu, June 7
A child’s body was found near the Dhanusha-Mahottari border. On Monday evening, the body of a 6-year-old boy was found in a ditch near the Dudhmati River in Basbitti in Janakpur Sub-Metropolitan City-22 and Pipara Rural Municipality-6 of Mahottari, according to Pradip Bahadur Chhetri, spokesperson for the Dhanusha District Police Office.
The body of Rocky Barahi, 6, son of Jiyasaran Barahi, who was living in a tent at Sarlahi Kabilasi-7, Janakpurdham Sub-metropolis-8, has been found, according to the police. The boy had been missing for a week.
It is suspected that the child may have been killed by someone. The body has been sent to
Janakpur Provincial Hospital for a postmortem. The incident has launched a special
investigation, according to police.
