Kathmandu, June 3
Sher Bahadur Tamang, a UML MP, has proposed building a pipeline to bring petroleum
products from Kerung along the Trishuli River.
He argued for establishing a pipeline on the Trishuli River to import petroleum products from Kerung during a discussion on an urgent public interest motion tabled in the House of
Representatives on Friday.
He said that raising the price of gasoline items by one rupee per liter will bring the cost per
person to Rs 300.
All of the lawmakers who spoke on the subject accused the administration of failing to keep
inflation under control. The price increase, he claimed, had an impact on the population.
