From the fiscal year 2079/80 onwards, the cost of the internet would be decreased by Rs. 17.
The cost of the internet will decrease once the government lowers the service charge in the
budget, which will take effect next year.
The Internet Service Providers Association of Nepal (ISPAN) estimates that the cost of the
internet will drop by Rs. 17. When presenting the yearly budget for the following year, Finance Minister Janardhan Sharma proposed a 3% reduction in the telecommunication service cost.
According to ISPAN, the monthly internet plan, which is normally Rs 1,203, is now available for Rs 1,186. Spain also expressed gratitude to the government for lowering telecom service fees.
