Kathmandu, May 28
In the municipality of Tokha, elections for members of the municipal executive have been
concluded.
Sabita Sharma, the election officer at Tokha municipality, said that the municipality held an
election to elect eight members, including five women and three Dalit members.
Sunita Shrestha Pariyar Nepali, Sayara Pariyar, Jagatmaya Prajapati Maharjan, Leeladevi
Adhikari, and Shanta Rai are among the elected women members. Bachhuraj Basyal, Sarita
Ghale, and Prem Kumar Sunuwar were also elected as municipal executive members from Dalit and minority groups, according to Election Officer Sharma.
Certificates were distributed to the elected municipal executive members amidst a program on Friday.
