UML wins in Garuda municipality

Kathmandu, May 26

CPN-UML has emerged victorious in the Garuda Municipality of Rautahat. UML candidate
Kanthamani Prasad Kalwar has been elected as mayor of the Garuda municipality.

He got 4,564 votes while his nearest rival Brij Kishor Prasad Yadav of CPN (Unified Socialist) received 4,525 votes.

Similarly, Nepali Congress candidate Punam Kumari Chaudhary has been elected the deputy mayor with 6,703 votes.
