Kathmandu, May 24
The names of the two ambassadors have been unanimously accepted by the parliamentary
hearing committee.
Basudev Mishra, the proposed Ambassador to Sri Lanka, and Dr. Ramswarth Raya, the proposed Ambassador to Denmark have done the parliamentary hearing, the committee accepted the name.
The way is now clear for Mishra and Raya to be appointed, due to the agreement of the
parliamentary committee.
A constitutional clause states that the President will appoint the ambassadors proposed by the administration once the legislative committee has approved their names.
