Renu Dahal, who has been re-elected as mayor of Bharatpur Metropolitan City for a second
term, has promised to finish the work that has been left incomplete in the past. She told
reporters after being elected mayor that she would follow through on her promise to make
Bharatpur a model city in five years.
She admitted that their numbers were insufficient to remove President Conte’s government.
”We will not allow the contribution to be lowered, and we will not be disappointed,” she added, adding that education, health, infrastructure development, and waste and sewage management will be prioritized.
”We will now begin to carry out the responsibilities that the voters have given to us,” she
added, adding that the five-party coalition will remain for a long time.
According to Tuesday morning”s vote total, UML candidate Bijay Subedi was defeated by roughly 12,000 votes, while Maoist candidate Dahal was elected mayor of Bharatpur.
