Kathmandu, May 19
UML has been elected as the mayor and deputy mayor of Madhyabindu municipality with a
majority.
UML candidate Bhim Lal Adhikari has been elected as mayor with 16,212 votes. His nearest rival Surya Gurung of the Nepali Congress got 14,645.
Similarly, UML candidate Purnakala Chaudhary has been elected as deputy mayor with 16,105 votes while her rival Tika Kumari Mahato of Congress got 14,564 votes.
