The Nepalese currency at its lowest value

Kathmandu, May 10

The Nepalese rupee has fallen against the US dollar at its lowest value.  The Nepali currency has hit its lowest point in history, according to the Nepal Rastra Bank (NRB), as the value of the dollar has reached an all-time high.

The current exchange rate for one US dollar is Rs 124.25, according to the NRB. Its purchasing price is also Rs 123.65. As a result, the rate became an overnight sensation. Since the Corona outbreak expanded over the world, the Nepalese currency has been losing ground against the US dollar.

Nepal may have to pay more for imported commodities if the dollar appreciates against the
Nepalese rupee. Similarly, Nepalese exports bring in more money. Nepal, on the other hand, will lose money if its imports are large and its exports are low, and the dollar increases in foreign trade. Nepal also benefits from the fact that remittance inflows are in dollars.
