NRB requests to pay pension only from a bank account and that the account be opened within one month

Kathmandu, May 10

The pension of retired people would be paid solely from the bank account of Nepal Rastra Bank.

The bank has asked the concerned workers to open an account within a month and provide the necessary information to the NRB branch in question since payment would be made only from banks in accordance with procedure 2079.

The bank stated in a statement issued on Monday that the amount of pension to be paid by the bank to retired employees or their dependents in accordance with Nepal Rastra Bank,
Retirement Payment Procedure, 2079 will be paid only in the bank account opened in the name of the pensioner in the bank and financial institution.

According to sub-section (2) of section (8) of the Rules of Procedure for Retirement Payment, remaining pensioners must submit the attached form to Nepal Rastra Bank, Department of Finance Management, or the department’s official website within one month of the date of publication of the attached notice.
