In Kathmandu, LSP’s candidacy has been rejected

Kathmandu, April 29

In Kathmandu Metropolitan City, the Democratic Socialist Party’s (LSP) candidacy has been rejected.

According to the Local Level Election Act, LSP’s candidacy was rejected since there are no 50 percent female candidates for chief and deputy chief, according to Raju Kumar Khatiwada, the metropolis’ chief election official.

Male candidate had been promoted to the positions of Kathmandu Metropolitan Chief and
Deputy Chief by the LSP. Uday Khadki and Danindra Joshi were nominated for the positions of the head and deputy chief, respectively.

LSP will not be allowed to run in the election as their candidacy is denied.
