Kathmandu, April 29
Nepal has experienced extraordinary reforms in governance, economic development, and
international engagement, according to US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken. ”We are proud of our successes as partners, and look forward to decades of friendship,” Secretary Blinken said in a tweet celebrating the 75th anniversary of Nepal-US diplomatic ties.
He stated that the US was prepared for a long-term partnership with Nepal.
After WWII, the United States and Nepal established diplomatic ties. In April 1947, the United States and Nepal established diplomatic ties. The US Embassy in Nepal was formally established after that.
