Kathmandu, April 27
Two houses have been destroyed by fire when lightning struck at Pipal Bhanjyang in Tapli
village municipality-1 on Tuesday evening.
The houses of locals Tanka Hamal and Santoshi Hamal caught fire when the lightning struck.
When the fire broke out in Tanka’s house, the house of neighbor Santoshi also caught fire due to strong winds.
Dil Bahadur Rai of Tapli-1 informed that the food, clothes, and utensils of both the houses were destroyed by fire.
A team from Police Post Rupatar has reached the spot.
Man Bahadur Rai, Deputy Superintendent of Police, Area Police Office, Katari, said that details of the damage are being collected.
