Russia will cut off gas supplies to Poland and Bulgaria, saying it has not paid in rubles

Kathmandu, April 27

Russia is preparing to launch a major assault against the West in the midst of the Ukraine
conflict. Poland and Bulgaria have said that they would cut off the Russian gas supply in a day or two.

The countries have to pay in rubles, according to Russia’s gas delivery business. If it does not, Russia has warned to cut off supplies. Both governments have stated that they will not pay in rubles. The Russian company has informed the two European Union and NATO countries that their gas supply will be cut off on Wednesday, according to the news agency PTI.

This is the first time since Russian President Vladimir Putin said last month that ”non-allied states” would pay in rubles instead of dollars, Russia has stopped supplying to a country. Since the Russian invasion, Poland has been assisting its neighbor Ukraine, and Poland serves as a transit site for military shipments to Ukraine from the United States and other Western countries.
