China Nuclear Power Engineering Co (CNNC) has developed a nuclear-powered pet dog “Medo” which has completed beta testing and will be available on the market soon, according to the company’s Sina Weibo account on Friday.
“Medo” was developed by a research team under CNNC, which owns the intellectual property of the pet, to be referred to as the “N Universe,” with “Medo” as one of the creatures in the universe. More relevant TV series and films will be issued later, said CNNC.
Some netizens suggested that the new “Medo” could not be considered a pet dog, with its strange image. Some netizens humorously called for “Medo” to be equipped with a nuclear-powered laptop and mobile phone charger.
