Kathmandu, April 18
Nepali Congress leader Prakash Man Singh has said the ruling alliance and the electoral alliance are the present needs of the country.
At a program organized to exchange New Year greetings in the capital on Monday, leader Singh reminded all that the current ruling alliance is formed to protect the constitution.
“Electoral alliance should be forged by maintaining the high spirit of party cadres,” he said, urging the leaders and cadres to engage in local level elections.
Also, the former deputy prime minister, leader Singh argued that since transport
entrepreneurship had a significant role to prop the nation’s economy the state needs to respect them. He further said he was serious about addressing the problems faced by the democratic transport entrepreneurs close to the party.
On the occasion, Kathmandu district president of Nepali Congress Sabuj Baniya informed that an electoral alliance would be formed by keeping in the center the aspiration of the party’s well-wishers and sister organizations. The time has come for the development, he stressed.
General convention representative Sushil Bhatta stressed the need for fielding party candidates based on a public base. The leaders focused on policy rather than coterie members should be picked for election candidates, he added.
