The subject of offering leave two days a week and running the office five days a week from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. was considered during the Council of Ministers meeting on April 7. There was also a principled agreement.

After the topic was debated in the cabinet, many people predicted that from April 14, there
would be two days off per week. However, the decision has yet to be executed. Civil servants are still undecided about taking two days off every week.

Suresh Adhikari, Secretary at the Ministry of Federal Affairs and General Administration,
claimed that no decision has been made on taking two days off every week and that no
preparation or study has been done in this respect. ”It merely came to our attention at the time.”

On April 7, the subject of offering two days of leave each week to cut fuel and government
spending was considered in the Council of Ministers.
