The first and largest food storage facility in Nepal has been opened in Sunsari’s Gadhi village municipality.

Nepal Ware Housing Company Limited began operations with a storage facility in Sunsari’s Aurabani. This granary has a capacity of 15,000 metric tons.

The factory uses automated and silo technology and is connected to a storage facility for maize, wheat, and soybeans. The storage facility’s functioning will assist farmers in receiving a fair price for their goods.

The bank would also give collateral to the farmers based on grain storage, according to
Shrawan Kumar Yadav, the company’s administrator.

Storage homes are being built in Kapilvastu and Parsa, according to the company. As per the firm, a storage facility with a capacity of 15,000 metric tons in Kapilvastu and 25,000 metric tons in Parsa is currently being constructed.

The overall project cost of food storage with a capacity of 55,000 metric tons at all three
locations, according to the firm, is Rs 1.49 billion. Three-grain storage plants based on
automated silo technology are located in the warehouse.

Maize, wheat, and soybeans will be kept in one of the factories, each with a capacity of 5,000 metric tons, according to the business. Farmers’ obligations to sell grain at lower rates during production will be eliminated, according to the corporation, which was the major cause to farmers due to a lack of storage capacity to date.

Agri-collectors, food processors, and grain producers, particularly grain farmers in Nepal’s eastern region and India’s border territories, will profit from the development of food storage homes.

Nepal Warehousing Company Limited has announced that it is preparing to do an initial public offering (IPO) for Rs. 137.5 million.
