Those who have been unlawfully residing in Qatar have been given additional time to leave

Kathmandu, April 12

By the end of April, Qatar will have extended its indemnity. The deadline for illegal immigrants to stay lawfully or leave the country without paying a fee has been extended to April 30 by Qatar’s interior ministry.

According to a statement from the ministry, all migrants who break the law should file a
settlement application with the Search and Monitoring Department, as should anybody who
wants to transfer from one company to another.

Anyone who has broken the legislation by April 30 should report to the authorized center
between 1 and 5 p.m., according to the ministry. More than 28,000 illegal workers have
applied, with 8,227 returning home, according to the most recent statistics. 6,000 people have been given legal status.

The government had already extended the grace period twice. The government has advised
people to make the most of the extra time. This order was issued by the Qatari government in accordance with the terms of Law No. 21 of 2015, which governs the entry and departure of immigrants.

Many Nepali employees residing illegally are anticipated to profit as the Qatari government
extends the pardon period. In Qatar, there are now 312,650 Nepalese working lawfully.

There are 11 thousand and ninety ladies among them.
