Kathmandu, April 8

The Foreign Employment Office in Kathmandu has set up an online mechanism to grant institutional labor permits. From April 15, according to Ramesh Aryal, the office’s chief, institutional labor will be permitted through the internet system.

Labor approval, institutional labor approval, and individual labor approval have all been priorities for the agency. In the event that manpower entrepreneurs or their representatives visit the office for institutional labor sanctions, there is a mechanism for institutional labor sanctions without their physical presence.

Since January, the office has exclusively used an online method to re-approve labor. With the ability to re-approve labor exclusively through an online system, over a thousand service recipients have decided to use the service online rather than visiting the office on a daily basis.

The online system was created, according to the Ministry of Labor, to make labor acceptance transparent, paperless, and cashless, as well as to deliver services in a rapid, quick, and transparent manner. Minister for Labor, Employment, and Social Security Krishna Kumar Shrestha said that an arrangement has been created to sanction labor using an internet system in accordance with the aim of offering easy and simple services to employees moving abroad for work.

The work of institutional labor sanction, as well as re-labor sanction, is done using an online system, according to the ministry’s order to provide quick and easy complaint-free service in a simple and easy method utilizing current technology.

The office has also urged that licensed manpower businesses and stakeholders register for the institutional labor permit three days ahead of time, as document verification might take longer and there may be a server problem.
