Kathmandu, April 6
Police have started a ‘passenger-friendly police response’ program at the Tribhuvan
International Airport.
As part of the program, police officials serving at the airport would be provided with training knowledge and skills in passenger-friendly response. As many as 265 police personnel on duty at the airport will be trained.
The training will be imparted to the police personnel on Tuesday where they would be trained on how to respond to the service seekers coming to the airport in a polite, civilized, and decent manner.
Office In-charge and Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Bhim Prasad Dhakal shared that the training has been organized to provide the required assistance to the air passengers in trouble and facilitate them to reach their destinations with security assurances.
This would help elevate the image of Nepal Police at the international level, he said. The
program is also expected to be beneficial to change behavior at the airport as indecent
treatment of passengers by security personnel has drawn flak from different quarters.
