Agriculture is counted in 77 different regions in Jumla

Kathmandu, April 4

Agriculture will be surveyed in 77 locations in Jumla as part of the 7th National Agricultural Census.

Agriculture censuses will be performed at each of the district’s eight local levels.

Agriculture will be counted in 11 areas in Chandannath Municipality and Hima Village Municipality, according to Laxman Kandel, chief of the District Agriculture Census Office.

Agriculture will be counted at ten locations around the municipalities of Tila, Kankasundari, and Tatopani.

The counting will be conducted in nine locations around Sinja and Patarasi municipalities.

Agriculture censuses will be performed in at least seven locations in Guthichaur village municipality. There will be 26 enumerators on the job.

The agriculture census will take place from April 19th till June 2nd. The enumerator will gather information on the size of the land inhabited by the farmers, their consumption and use of the land, the area under cultivation, the specifics of the major crop’s production and irrigation, and seed use.

Similarly, the enumerator will gather information on the use of agricultural inputs and tools, the number of animals, nutritional information, agricultural labor workforce, and land ownership status based on gender.
