Kathmandu, April 3

CPN-UML Chairman KP Sharma Oli has alleged that maps including Lipulek, Limpiyadhura, and Kalapani were removed from the Nepali Embassy in Delhi during Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba’s visit to India.

Speaking at a party function in Kathmandu on Sunday, he said, “The Nepali embassy has a map of the old map. Chuchche map (new map) has been removed, what could be more
embarrassing?”

When asked why he was going to visit India, Oli said he did not answer and he said, “he must have gone for it.”

“Before the return of the Prime Minister, the map that our constitution says in the Delhi
embassy, why the map that our parliament has amended the constitution is not kept?”

Oli remarked that the intellectuals remained silent even when the government was working
against nationality and geographical integrity. “Should intellectuals now keep their hands tied or remain silent?”
