Imran Khan, Pakistan’s Prime Minister, has proposed that Parliament be dissolved

Kathmandu, April 3

President Arif Alvi of Pakistan has been advised by Prime Minister Imran Khan to dissolve parliament.

Imran, speaking on behalf of the country, said he had urged the President that the parliament be dissolved.

Deputy Speaker Qassim Suri rejected the vote of no confidence against Imran.

Imran addressed the country shortly after the no-confidence vote was defeated by parliament, instructing the people to prepare for the elections. He went on to say that the people have the right to determine whether or not to overthrow the government.

Prime Minister Khan’s administration was in turmoil after the governing coalition parties backed the opposition’s no-confidence vote. He was one of the few.

He has stated that he would not resign, even if he is in the minority, and that he will face a vote of no confidence. He prevented the parliament from voting on the no-confidence resolution. After parliament rejected the no-confidence motion, Imran immediately dissolved parliament.

Deputy Speaker Suri, according to Imran, utilized his constitutional authority to reject the no-confidence motion.
