Kathmandu, March 21

The renovation of the Jajarkot-Jumla connecting road section from Panchkatia to Vyauli Dhunga has been upgraded at a budget of Rs 500 million.

The road is being upgraded under a multi-year contract, according to CDE Shubharaj Neupane of the Ministry of Physical Infrastructure and Transport Development’s Planning Monitoring and Evaluation Division.

The National Planning Commission has written to the Ministry of Physical Infrastructure and
Transport Development’s Planning Monitoring and Evaluation Division to guarantee that resources are available for a multi-year contract to link the road from Jajarkot to Jumla.

The Ministry of Physical Infrastructure and Transport Development’s Planning Monitoring and Evaluation Division has written to the Road Department requesting that a contract be found promptly.

For the past four years, the road has been maintained. Dhruv Jha, the Chief of the Road Division Office in Chaurajahari, said the construction will begin by requesting bids in a few days.
